Booking and cancellations

  • Cancellations: To minimize no-call/no-shows and late cancellations that prevent us from filling the slot with other clients, we request credit card information when you book an appointment online or by phone. Your card will not be charged when you book an appointment. We use MindBody Online, a PCI-compliant vendor, to ensure your information is secure.

  • Single Appointments: Please provide a 24-hour notice for all rescheduling or cancellations.

  • Couples Massage, 2 Hour Appointments or Multiple Same Day Appointments: Please provide a 48- hour notice for all rescheduling or cancellations. 

  • Same-Day and Walk-In Appointments: Same-day and walk-in appointments are sometimes available. These can be booked online or by contacting us directly at 319-853-1210.

  • Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Fees will be charged to your credit card or deducted from your gift card, equivalent to the appointment cost scheduled. If extenuating circumstances apply (e.g., illness or emergency), please contact us.

  • Therapist Information: Not all therapists provide all services, and methods may vary by therapist.

Promotions

If you are using a promotion or discount, please select that option when booking online or mention it in the comments. If booking by phone or in person, the promotion must be mentioned at the time of booking. Alternatively, you can let your service provider know at the time of payment. We cannot apply promotions or provide refunds after your purchase is complete. 

During your appointment

Arrival and Preparation: Your appointment start time marks the beginning of your scheduled time “on the table.” To fully enjoy every minute of your massage, we recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early. First-time clients should arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment. This allows ample time for check-in and preparation, so you can relax and maximize your experience.

Late Arrivals: Please note that arriving late will result in a shortened session. This policy is in place to avoid inconveniences to other clients. Unfortunately, we cannot offer discounts or reduce fees for shortened sessions due to late arrivals.

Mobile Phones: To maintain a peaceful environment, please turn your cell phone to Do Not Disturb or vibrate mode upon entering the studio.

Medical Conditions: Inform us of any medical conditions or concerns during booking or your pre-massage consultation, including pregnancy. This information will help us tailor your experience to ensure your safety and comfort.

Draping and Comfort: At Morning Sun Massage & Spa, your privacy and comfort are ensured through professional draping techniques. You are welcome to disrobe to your level of comfort; full undressing is never required, but please note that oils or lotions may contact undergarments if worn. For specific services like Brazilian, bikini waxes, or sugaring, exposure of certain areas is necessary and will be handled with the highest standards of professionalism to maintain your modesty and safety.

Communication and Pressure Adjustments: Please share any concerns or preferences with your therapist during your session. Open communication is crucial, whether it's about the massage pressure or any other aspect of your experience. If the pressure is too deep or too light, let your therapist know. We aim to adjust to your comfort level while ensuring our therapists can provide effective treatment without risk of injury.

Children: Please refrain from bringing children to your appointments to maintain a quiet, peaceful environment.

Embracing Relaxation: Morning Sun Massage & Spa is a stress-free zone. When you walk in the door, give yourself the right to relax, enjoy, and escape from stress and worry for a time. Take a moment for yourself. We encourage you to fully embrace this opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate.

Security and privacy

Door Security: Our door remains locked for security. If your therapist is not by the door waiting for you, please ring doorbell to signal your arrival.

Privacy Policy

Your information is safe with us. We will never share your information with other companies or individuals. Confidentiality is strictly observed.

Payment Methods

Accepted forms of payment include Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Morning Sun gift certificates. No checks, please.

Gift cards and gift certificates

  • Gift cards are sold with preset amounts that reflect the current prices of our services. While infrequent, we do occasionally make small adjustments to pricing. If prices change between the purchase of a gift card and its redemption, we will apply the face dollar value of the gift card toward the services rendered. If there is a balance due, it will be the responsibility of the client.

  • Gift cards issued by Morning Sun Massage & Spa do not expire.

  • After January 1, 2022, Spafinder gift certificates cannot be used to pay for services at Morning Sun.

  • Gift cards must be presented at the appointment for redemption. The physical paper gift certificate, print out, or email are all acceptable.

  • In-Office Purchases: For purchasing gift cards in-office, please call ahead to ensure availability since we operate by appointment only.
